Lay me down easy Lord, make it easy as I go
Not that I deserve it Lord, as you omnipotently know

Giving up my body will be easy —my ticket to a place that Jesus prepared
But spare me having to stay in a nursing home or memory care

Make it easy on those behind who truly might care
Let them know I will be much happier up there

I was dead before I was born
I will be alive forever after I die
