Seeking Enlightenment

In the beginning—I went to bed every night
hoping enlightenment would suddenly strike

Those who say that God is real could not
Understand the way I would feel

Then I heard the story about a man named Abe
Prayed twice a day for 35 years that he would
win the weekly million-dollar lottery

Poor Abe—35 years and not even close
Then Abe hears a voice—“Abe, do me a favor”
God is that you—"Yes, Abe, it is I Am”

“Buy a ticket Abe”—And so it is with you
Enlightenment takes two, God and you
Accept Jesus as God’s Son and your enlightenment will be won
