World Stage

Some say the world is but a stage, and we are actors there upon
But, who are we performing for, who might our audience be

Who laughs and cries when they see us stumble about
I’m guessing they must be smarter than me

Who determines whether our actions and words
will gain us a role in eternity’s play

The world is our try-out, the only one we get
We are told what we should and should not do

Our Lord has made it very clear
Love God for all your worth, treat others as yourself

If we fail our one-time audition we may end up in perdition
